Race Report

RACE-4 NEW ZEALAND BLOODSTOCK READY TO RUN SALE TROPHY RATING 80-60 (CLASS 2&3) 1200 METRES (67)
Jockey W T PAO who was dislodged from his mount on the way to the barriers was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and declared fit to continue riding.
NITTAN WARRIOR (W L HO) and FLYING JAGUAR (W T PAO) were both inspected behind the barriers and passed fit to race.
BEST FOUNTAIN (M NUNES) which was slow to begin was crowded between JOY AND PRIDE (O DOLEUZE) and MACAU WARRIOR (DIN AZIS) which shifted in.
FLYING JAGUAR (W T PAO) stood flat footed at the start and lost ground. FLYING JAGUAR will be required to pass a barrier trial before being entered to race again.
On jumping HUNG YAT STAR (C C CHAO) and LITTLE MAGIC (C W CHOI) bumped.
FRENCH GENERAL (M ISHIBASHI) jumped awkwardly and lost considerable ground. FRENCH GENERAL will be required to pass a barrier trial before being entered to race again.
MACAU WARRIOR (DIN AZIS) raced wide from the 700 metres.
Jockey C W CHOI the rider of LITTLE MAGIC dropped his whip at the 50 metres. A warning was issued to Jockey C W CHOI.
MACAU WARRIOR (DIN AZIS) hung inward in the straight.
Passing the 200 metres, BEST FOUNTAIN (M NUNES) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of LITTLE MAGIC (C W CHOI) which shifted out. Jockey C W CHOI was issued with a reprimand.
Near the 100 metres KINGS CROSS (K M CHIN) was checked away from the heels of SIU LAM KAM KONG (H LAM) which shifted outwards when losing ground. NITTAN WARRIOR (W L HO) which was following was hampered in consequence.
A post race veterinary examination of FLYING JAGUAR (W T PAO) revealed that the horse was suffering from heat stress.
HUNG YAT STAR (C C CHAO) cast the right fore plate during the run.
Subsequent to the race, swab samples were taken from SUPREME CAGA (D OLIVER) and HAPPY WANDERER (Y T CHENG).
