Race Report

RACE-6 THE ALLOA RATING 80-60 (CLASS 2&3) 1000 METRES (421)
On the way to the barriers EXCELLENT QUALITY dislodged its rider. EXCELLENT QUALITY was examined behind the barriers and passed fit to start. Jockey W T PAO the rider of EXCELLENT QUALITY was also examined and passed fit to ride.
ELEGANCE GLORY (APPRENTICE J PESCUISO) reared at the start and lost ground.
MACAU WARRIOR (K H YU) jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
SEA OF JEWELS (K S TAM) was slow to begin.
LUEN YAT SPARKLE (K HERCOCK) raced ungenerously in the early stages.
Between the 200 metres and passing the100 metres TEST OF TIME (W L HO) had difficulty obtaining clear running and inside the final 50 metres TEST OF TIME was accidentally stuck over the head by the whip of CATHETER (H LAM) on two occasions.
LITTLE MAGIC (M NUNES) lay in under pressure in the home
ELEGANCE GLORY (APPRENTICE J PESCUISO) raced ungenerously in the home straight.
FABULOUS RED (LEI KIN MENG) raced greenly throughout.
MACAU WARRIOR (K H YU), FABULOUS RED (LEI KIN MENG) and SEA OF JEWELS (K S TAM) raced wide throughout.
After the race the Veterinary Surgeon reported that ELEGANCE GLORY (APPRENTICE J PESCUISO) had sustained a cut to its right hind stifle.
A post race veterinary examination of LUEN YAT SPARKLE (K HERCOCK) failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer P C CHOI was informed that he would be required to present LUEN YAT SPARKLE to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Monday 14th June 2010.
Subsequent to the race, swab samples were taken from BOWL BROTHERS (APPRENTICE M CANGAS) and MACAU WARRIOR (K H YU).
