Race Report

RACE-6 THE BORDEAUX (DIVISION – 2) RATING 75-45 (CLASS 3&4) 1200 METRES (512)
AQUATIC STAR (APPRENTICE J PESCUISO) which jumped away awkwardly, shifted out made contact with STAR ON STAGE (K HERCOCK). STAR ON STAGE then shifted out and made contact with FABULOUS RED (P U WONG).
WONDERFUL SUN (C W CHOI) blundered on jumping away.
WIN A LITTLE (W T PAO) was a little slow to begin.
Near the 600 metres WONDERFUL SUN (C W CHOI) blundered and lost ground.
Shortly after straightening WIN A LITTLE (W T PAO) and CATHETER (H LAM) brushed.
CHESSY (W SMITH) raced wide throughout.
At a subsequent inquiry Mr. K C Hoi the trainer of WONDERFUL SUN (C W CHOI) was found guilty of having breached MJC Rule 121 (v) in that he added a piece of packing to the gear of Jockey C W CHOI. Trainer K C HOI was fined the sum of HK$1,000.
A post race veterinary examination of STAR OF STAGE (K HERCOCK) failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
Subsequent to the race, swab samples were taken from WIN A LITTLE (W T PAO) and SURANAM (M NUNES).
