Race Report

RACE-6 THE AGRA RATING 90-70 (CLASS 1&2) 1200 METRES (148)
After being boxed HAPPY GENERAL (K M CHIN) became cast in the barriers. Acting on veterinary advice, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 5:52pm. This race was subsequently delayed for some time. Before being entered to race again, HAPPY GENERAL will be required to pass a barrier trial.
KAAPTAN (W L HO) and STORMY TON (T PEREIRA) jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
Shortly after the start SURE DESIRE (APPRENTICE C F WONG) shifted out abruptly and made contact with TURQUOISE HAPPY (H LAM).
CAGA DELIGHT (M NUNES) raced keenly in the early stages.
KA WO FORTUNE (APPRENTICE M CANGAS) was held up for clear running rounding the home turn behind the weakening WARRIOR (S GOLAM).
KA WO FORTUNE (APPRENTICE M CANGAS) lay in under pressure in the home straight.
Passing the 200 metres KAAPTAN (W L HO) was momentarily impeded between ELEGANCE ENERGY (W T PAO) which shifted in and TURQUOISE HAPPY (H LAM) which shifted out. KAAPTAN then shifted out under pressure inside the final 100 metres.
GOLDEN BULLET (K W LEONG) and VIVA MONDIAL (LEI KIN MENG) raced wide throughout.
A post race veterinary examination of STORMY TON (T PEREIRA) revealed that the horse was lame in the left foreleg. Before being entered to race again STORMY TON will be required to pass a veterinary examination.
WARRIOR (S GOLAM) suffered a bleeding attack.
Subsequent to the race, swab samples were taken from SURE DESIRE (APPRENTICE C F WONG) and CAGA DELIGHT (M NUNES).
