Race Report

RACE-5 THE ABERDEEN RATING 80-60 (CLASS 2&3) 1200 METRES (197)
KA WANG FORTUNE (A HELFENBEIN) was slow to begin.
KA WANG FORTUNE (A HELFENBEIN) and DARE T'LIVE (K H CHIO) raced wide rounding the home turn.
Near the 1000 metres BOWL BROTHERS (C W CHOI) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of SIENA EAGLE (A SPITERI) which was shifted in. Jockey A SPITERI the rider of SIENA EAGLE was issued with a reprimand.
Near the 700 metres MACAU WARRIOR (K H YU) had to be steadied when tightened for room by SIENA EAGLE (A SPITERI) which lay in. In issuing Jockey A SPITERI with a reprimand the Stewards noted that his mount was laying in, however he was advised in similar circumstances in future he would be expected to make a greater effort to prevent his mount from shifting ground.
Passing the 400 metres SUPER STYLISH (APPRENTICE M CANGAS) improved onto the heels of ELEGANCE ENERGY (K M CHIN) and had to be steadied.
GOLDEN BULLET (K W LEONG) and TURQUOISE HAPPY (F DURSO) raced wide throughout.
After the race the Veterinary Surgeon reported that KA LAM FORTUNE (G W MOORE) was lame in the left foreleg. Before being entered to race again, KA LAM FORTUNE will be required to pass a veterinary examination.
Subsequent to the race, swab samples were taken from THE LUCKY STEED (M NUNES) and GOLDEN BULLET (K W LEONG).
