Race Report

RACE-3 THE HILLSTON (Div.1) RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1200 METRES (396)
AQUATIC STAR (APPRENTICE J PESCUISO) was slow to begin.
WINLORD (K W LEONG) jumped awkwardly with its head in the air and lost ground.
DYNASTY TREASURE (T PEREIRA) and PINS BLUE (H LAM) raced wide rounding the turn.
For some distance shortly after the start LAUGHING WORLD (W T PAO) and FAMOUS MASTER
(LEI KIN MENG) were buffeted when racing tight between BRIDGE MASTER (APPRENTICE B
YAMZON) and GAUTENG (K M CHIN) which shifted out slightly and near the 1100 metres FAMOUS MASTER (LEI KIN MENG) had to be checked after bumping the hindquarters of BRIDGE MASTER and turning that horse inwards. Then near the 900 metres GAUTENG shifted out and brushed LAUGHING WORLD (W T PAO) which became unbalanced and shifted outwards slightly.
Jockey A SPITERI the rider of DANCE DAY was found guilty of having breached MJC Rule 132 (i) for
careless riding, in that from the 1050 metres until near the 900 metres he allowed his mount to shift
in when insufficiently clear of NOTEVENOW (F DURSO) resulting in NOTEVENOW being carried in
onto BRIDGE MASTER (APPRENTICE B YAMZON) which had to be checked when crowded to the
outside of LAUGHING WORLD (W T PAO). Jockey A SPITERI was suspended from riding races for
the racemeeting of 10th and 17th June 2011 and fined the sum of HK$22,000 in lieu of two additional
racemeetings. He was advised of his Right of Appeal at 7:30pm.
Near the 50 metres K M CHIN the rider of GAUTENG had his whip accidentally knocked from his grasp by Jockey K H YU the rider of THE LIONHEARTED.
