Race Report

RACE-6 THE GALWAY RATING 60-30 (CLASS 3&4) 1700 METRES (29)
On jumping BEST JADE HORSE (J LERMYTE) was checked between CHANAK (A CALDER) and STAR OF LUEN YAT (APPRENTICE M CANGAS) both of which shifted ground.
FOREST PHOENIX (K M CHIN) raced wide until the 900 metres.
LAUGHING WORLD (N K CHAN) raced wide for the majority of the race.
Approaching and rounding the home turn FANTASTICPRIVILEGE (K W LEONG) was badly held up.
TURQUOISE FOREVER (K F CHOI) hung out for a short distance rounding the home turn.
Approaching the 200 metres SUN PROFIT (A SPITERI) was steadied and shifted out to obtain clear running. Then when under pressure later in the straight SUN PROFIT hung in and near the 100 metres bumped with TURQUOISE FOREVER (K F CHOI) resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.
ORIENTAL STAR (H LAM) raced wide for the majority of the race.
DRAGON WORLD (W L HO) hung out throughout out and shifted out abruptly near the 300 metres and was restrained out of the race. A post race veterinary examination of DRAGON WORLD at the request of the rider failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer J LAU was informed that DRAGON WORLD will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until the horse has passed a barrier trial.
After the race the Veterinary Surgeon reported that STAR OF LUEN YAT (APPRENTICE M CANGAS) was severely lame in the right foreleg. Trainer P C CHOI was informed that STAR OF LUEN YAT will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has passed a barrier trial and a veterinary certificate is produced.
