Race Report

RACE-6 MACAU GOLDEN GROUP FAT CHOY BOWL RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1500 METRES (232)
After being loaded into the barriers, HAPPY GENERAL (F DURSO) became fractious and became cast in the barriers. Acting on veterinary advice, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 4:59 pm. Trainer Y C FUNG was informed that HAPPY GENERAL will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has passed a barrier trial and a veterinary certificate is provided.
POWER REGIMENTAL (K H YU) was slow to begin.
Near the 1000 metres SIGSON (APPRENTICE Y M CHOI) became unbalanced and shifted outwards. SIGSON raced wide thereafter.
MONTAQUILA (T PEREIRA) and MONSTER (W L HO) raced wide rounding the home turn.
In the early part of the home straight FOREST PHOENIX (K M CHIN) was disappointed for a clear run and near the 250 metres was checked when crowded between BEST OF MANSION (J GUILLAMBERT) which was weakening and BEST SPORT (APPRENTICE M CANGAS) which hung out despite the efforts of its rider.
BEST OF MANSION (J GUILLAMBERT) suffered a bleeding attack.

The Stewards will interview Trainer P LEYSHAN and APPRENTICE Y M CHOI on Monday, 13th February 2012 with regards to the performance of SIGSON.
