Race Report

RACE-4 THE PETERBOROUGH RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1100 METRES (365)
MASTER WINNER (K M CHIN) and HUNG KONG STAR (F DURSO) were both examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race.
Following the running of this race, the “Enquiry” sign was semaphored to enable the Stewards to ascertain whether SEE SEE LEADING (A HELFENBEIN) had been denied a fair start. Evidence disclosed that prior to the start SEE SEE LEADING had his head in the adjacent stall and when the start was effected was unable to jump with the field and as a result lost considerable ground. Under the circumstances, the Stewards acting under MJC Rule 28 (ix)(b) declared SEE SEE LEADING a non starter and the placings were amended as follows:
1st HUNG KONG STAR
2nd MIGHTY THOR
3rd LUENYAT BLACKBERRY
4th HAR HAR MONEY
5th MACAU WARRIOR
MACAU WARRIOR (K L LEI) jumped awkwardly.
