Race Report

RACE-7 THE IPSWICH RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1100 METRES (402)
Following the running of Race 6 as Jockey K L LEI was suffering from an eye injury and had been stood down by the Club’s Medical Officer, the Stewards gave permission for Jockey K W LEONG to be substituted as the rider of KAWAII.
After being loaded SMILING HAPPY (M NUNES) kicked the back gate, was examined then by the Veterinary examination and passed fit to start. As the gates opened SMILING HAPPY kicked and got its right hind leg lodged between the back gates and as consequence lost considerable ground. Trainer J LAU was informed that a warning had been placed against the horse in relation to its barrier manners.
KAWAII (K W LEONG), TAIKI SHUTTLE (APPRENTICE M CANGAS), MACAU WARRIOR (A HELFENBEIN), VANCE (W T PAO) and DANEHILL TIGER (L CORRALES) jumped awkwardly.
Near the 700 metres TURQUOISE FAST (K H YU) and GOLDEN BULLET (L JURADO) bumped resulting in GOLDEN BULLET becoming unbalanced. Shortly after TURQUOISE FAST blundered on a number of occasions.
