Race Report

RACE-5 THE DUISBURG RATING 60-30 (CLASS 3&4) 1800 METRES (420)
GUNDAM FIGHTER (D BADEL) and HOSTWIN CHAMPION (K M CHIN) bumped on jumping.
MAKE MY HEART SING (B YAMZON) jumped awkwardly.
For a considerable distance nearing the 1600 metres COUNT VERSUVIUS (M NUNES) raced in restricted room when endeavoring to improve into a doubtful run between WIN A LITTLE (K L LEI) and HOSTWIN CHAMPION (K M CHIN). In this incident Jockey M NUNES lost the use of his right iron for a short distance. Thereafter COUNT VERSUVIUS over raced for a short distance.
In the early and middle stages HAR HAR MONEY (APPRENTICE C PERKINS) raced awkwardly with its head up.
AMAZING EAGLE (APPRENTICE Y M CHOI) raced wide in the early and middle stages. A post race veterinary examination of AMAZING EAGLE failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
When under pressure in the straight HAR HAR MONEY (APPRENTICE C PERKINS) shifted out abruptly.
TURQUOISE DANE (W SMITH) raced wide for the majority of the race.
GUNDAM FIGHTER (D BADEL) was retired from the event. A post race veterinary examination of GUNDAM FIGHTER revealed that the horse had blood in the left nostril. Trainer M C TAM was informed that GUNDAM FIGHTER would not be permitted to race for 11 days and until the horse has passed a barrier trial and a veterinary certificate is produced.
