Race Report

RACE-6 THE ORMONDE RATING 70-40 (CLASS 3) 1600 METRES (134)
HAAYIL SHADOW (K H YU) jumped awkwardly with its head up and lost considerable ground.
OVERCOME CHALLENGE (L JURADO) jumped awkwardly.
TIN ALLOY (B YAMZON) and TRACKMASTER (M CANGAS) bumped on jumping.
BLUE JADE GORDEN (L CORRALES) and BEST PIONEER (K W LEONG) bumped on jumping.
Rounding the first turn HAAYIL SHADOW (K H YU) which was over racing, shifted out and was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of OVERCOME CHALLENGE (L JURADO) which shifted in slightly.
Approaching the 600 metres BEST PIONEER (K W LEONG) hung in despite the efforts of its rider, resulting in HAAYIL SHADOW (K H YU) and BLUE JADE GORDEN (L CORRALES) being checked. Trainer G W MOOORE was informed that a warning had been issue against BEST PIONEER (K W LEONG) in relation to its racing manners.
OVERCOME CHALLENGE (L JURADO) and LUENYAT BLACKBERRY (M NUNES) bumped rounding the home turn.
Near the 350 metres GAUTENG (W L HO) was crowded for room and was checked when attempting a narrow run between FORTUNE SMILES (K L LEI) and LUEN YAT SUPREME (APPRENTICE Y M CHOI), both of which shifted a little ground.
Near the 200 metres OVERCOME CHALLENGE (L JURADO) was momentarily steadied when awkwardly placed close to heels TIN ALLOY (B YAMZON).
TIN ALLOY (B YAMZON), LUENYAT BLACKBERRY (M NUNES) and MY ETERNAL FLAME (W T PAO) raced wide for the majority of the race.
A post race veterinary examination of TIN ALLOY (B YAMZON) failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
