Race Report

RACE-5 THE JINGLE BELLS RATING 60-30 (CLASS 3&4) 1800 METRES (153)
Ratnaraj (K F Choi) was declared a late scratching at 4:18pm by the order of Stewards acting on veterinary advice when the gelding injured itself on the way to the barrier. Trainer W T Lai was informed that Ratnaraj will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary certificate is produced.
Great Nature (W T Pao) and Macau Stand (Apprentice Y M Choi) jumped awkwardly.
Near the 1300 metres the saddle of Break The Commands (L Jurado) slipped and near the 900 metres Jockey L Jurado lost the use of both strip irons. As a result Jockey L Jurado was placed at a disadvantage and Break The Commands was then retired from the race.
Magnificent Force (K L Lei) raced wide rounding the home turn.
Near the 250 metres Wind Chaser (W L Ho) was momentarily hampered by Flying Horse (B Yamzon) which shifted out and away from Silk Cut (F Durso) which shifted out to obtain clear running. In the circumstance, Jockey F Durso was advised to excises more care in the future.
Rounding the home turn Trueblue Wizard (J Benbow) and Fields Avenue (L Corrales) bumped.
Turquoise Dane (C W Wong) shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
