Race Report

RACE-7 THE BATH RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1200 METRES (203)
At 4:58pm Mr. K C CHONG the trainer of KA WANG FORTUNE (B YAMZON) advised that if KA WANG FORTUNE was unable to begin well it was the stable’s intention to have the horse ridden in a rearward position from a wide draw.
COME EASY (L JURADO) and MACAU EAGLE (APPRENTICE Y M CHOI) jumped awkwardly.
ENERGY GLADIATOR (W L HO) was tightened for room shortly after the start between KA WANG FORTUNE (B YAMZON) and CARE FREE EXPRESS (L CORRALES), both of which shifted ground.
Leaving the 1000 metres HAND BY HAND (W T PAO) hung in and made contact with the running rail on a number of occasions.
Near the 700 metres HAND BY HAND (W T PAO) momentarily raced in restricted room and was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of BEST PIONEER (LEI KIN MENG) which hung in slightly. In the circumstances no action was taken.
Approaching the 400 metres COME EASY (L JURADO) raced in restricted room to the inside of POWER BALLAD (S COLLETT) which shifted in slightly away from MACAU EAGLE (APPRENTICE Y M CHOI).
COME EASY (L JURADO) was held up and unable to establish clear running until approaching the 200 metres.
TIGER EXCEED (A HELFENBEIN) was unable to establish clear running until leaving the 200 metres
ENERGY GLADIATOR (W L HO) hung in in the home straight and proved difficult to ride out.
KA WANG FORTUNE (B YAMZON) and DYNASTY TREASURE (M CANGAS) raced wide for the majority of the race.
A post race veterinary examination of KA WANG FORTUNE (B YAMZON) failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K C CHONG was informed that the horse would not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has passed a barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
