Race Report

RACE-1 THE PUERTO PRINCESA RATING 40-0 (CLASS 5&6) 1800 METRES (440)

1 Just Go With It (L Corrales) –In the vicinity of the 700 metres commenced to give ground;Trainer K C Tse was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
2 Laughing World (R Silvera) –Reared as the gates opened.
5 Chinese Dragon (B Yamzon) –Jumped awkwardly.
7 Windsor Arch One (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Jumped awkwardly;Made the turn out of the straight wide.

INQUIRY:
The Stewards questioned Apprentice C F Wong the rider of 6 Sunshine Cheer Up into his reasons in electing to leave in a trailing position in the vicinity of the 800 metres and continued to push forward to obtain a position outside the leader. Apprentice C F Wong stated that he had been instructed to lead and having regard to the pace of the race and that his horse in previous starts had been somewhat one paced, he had elected to stride forward. He said that inside the 700 metres when looking to cross 1 Just Go With It (L Corrales), he had observed that that horse had commenced to give ground. After considering the evidence and reviewing the official vision, the Stewards advised Apprentice C F Wong his explanation was accepted.

VETERINARY:
1 Just Go With It (L Corrales) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
