RACE-6 THE ASUNCION RATING 80-60 (CLASS 2&3) 1500 METRES (6)

2 Luen Yat Colorado (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Shortly after the start hung out for a short distance; Raced wide for the majority of the race.
3 Happy Strength (B Yamzon) –Near the 1400 metres was inconvenienced by 2 Luen Yat Colorado; Raced wide for the majority of the race.
4 Classical Music (C K Tong) –Was slow into stride.
6 Ruling Elite (K K Lai) –Raced wide rounding the first turn.
8 Riches Treasure (L Corrales) –Near the 900 metres was eased when momentarily tightened for room.
11 Luck Of The Dragon (M Cangas) –Near the 1400 metres was inconvenienced by 3 Happy Strength which was taken out by 2 Luen Yat Colorado which shifted out and away from 12 Florence Elite which hung out.
12 Florence Elite (K W Leong) - Hung out for a short distance after the start and was eased near the 800 metres.

INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into an incident where 8 Riches Treasure (L Corrales) was eased when momentarily tightened for room near the 900 metres. It was established that leaving the 1000 metres 5 Golden Double (R Silvera) commenced to hang out taking 12 Florence Elite (K W Leong) out wider on the track resulting in 8 Riches Treasure (L Corrales) being tightened for room between that runner and 2 Luen Yat Colorado (Apprentice Y M Choi) and had to be eased near the 900 metres. A short distance later 12 Florence Elite was momentarily tightened for room and was eased when racing between 2 Luen Yat Colorado which laid in slightly and 5 Golden Double which had continued to hang out. After considering all the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other to advise all riders to exercise more care in future.

3 Happy Strength (B Yamzon) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Ruling Elite (K K Lai) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
