RACE-6 THE TASMANIA RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1500 METRES (24)
1 Classical Music (M Cangas)-Raced wide rounding the first turn.
2 Sunshine Stormy (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Examined behind the barriers at the rider’s request and was passed fit to race.
3 Energy Gladiator (K K Lai)-Was withdrawn at 5:07pm acting on veterinary advice as it was lame in the right foreleg.Trainer K C Wong was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary certificate is produced.
5 Ag Kingdom (C F Chan)-Raced wide throughout.
6 Luck Of The Dragon (B Yamzon)-Jumped awkwardly.
8 Come Easy (A Calder)-Was inclined to hang out in the early stages.
9 Tron General (J Horcajada)-Raced wide throughout.
11 Win Perfectly (K W Leong)-Rounding the home turn was held up and unable to obtain clear running.
12 Mission Fame (C F Wong) –Raced keenly in the early stages.

INQUIRY:
The Stewards questioned Apprentice C F Wong the rider of 12 Mission Fame regarding the circumstances that the horse led in today’s race. Apprentice C F Wong stated that he was instructed that as the horse was usually slow to begin to have the horse where it was comfortable. He stated the 12 Mission Fame began well today and after riding forward for a short distance the horse began to travel keenly. He stated it was not his intention to lead however due to the lack of pace to his inside he allowed 12 Mission Fame to stride forward and obtain the lead. After considering all the circumstances, the Stewards noted his explanation.

After the race Mr. Y Y Choy the trainer of 2 Sunshine Stormy (Apprentice Y M Choi) lodged a complaint in regards to the ride by Apprentice Y M Choi in particular the early stages of the race. After taking evidence from Mr. Choy and Apprentice Choi, the Stewards adjourned the inquiry to 7:00pm on Friday, 3rd October 2014 to allow the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon and Senior Farrier to be present.

VETERINARY:
2 Sunshine Stormy (Apprentice Y M Choi) )-A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer Y Y Choy was informed that he would be required to present the horse to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Monday, 29 September 2014.
5 Ag Kingdom (C F Chan) )-A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Tron General (J Horcajada) )-A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
