Correct weight was delayed to allow the Stewards to view the official patrol video to ascertain if 1 Wonder Mossman (C F Wong) had been denied a fair start. After taking evidence from the Starter Mr. P K Mou and Jockey C F Wong and viewing the official patrol video, it was established that as the gates were released 1 Wonder Mossman turned its head to the side and as a result lost considerable ground.

1 Wonder Mossman (C F Wong) –Lost considerable ground at the start; Raced three wide without cover; Compounded from the 400 metres; Trainer K C Chong was informed that he will be required to present the horse to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 4th January 2015.
2 Lucky And Wealthy (M Cangas) –Over raced during the early stages.
4 Sheng Li Win (K W Leong) –Struck the right hand gate on jumping away unbalancing its rider.
10 Golden Double (C Perkins) –Near the 1000 metres had to be steadied off the heels of 7 King Creole when the place slackened.

1 Wonder Mossman (C F Wong) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
3 Master Of Puppets (R Curatolo) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
