Race Report

RACE-2 THE BOLD RULER RATING 40-20 (CLASS 5) 1500 METRES (184)
Mr. K H Leong trainer of 2 Laughing World (B Yamzon) advised that he would be instructing the rider to try and obtain a forward position today as the gelding had not been finishing off its races when settling further back. Was ridden accordingly.

1 Diamond Whirlwind (L Corrales) –Laid in throughout the event and near the 800 metres was inconvenienced by 8 Accelera which shifted in.
3 Smart Ebony (H Lam) –Bounded in the air when the gates were released and lost ground;
4 So True So Fake (L Salles) –Rider stated the gelding was disappointing today. A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
6 Mission Fame (C F Chan) –Rider stated that the gelding had stood for some considerable time in the barrier prior to the start and then failed to respond to his riding throughout the event; Disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards and Trainer Pat Lee was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it performs satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
8 Accelera (R Curatolo) –Rider reported his mount laid out and was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
9 Wonder Dylan (C F Wong) –Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages.
10 Dance Day (M Cangas) –Knuckled at the start and lost ground; Inside the 200 metres obtained a narrow run to the inside of 7 Tornado Force and made contact with that gelding which became unbalanced and was taken out off its course.
11 Perfect China (J Horcajada) –Was fractious, became cast in the barriers; Was found to be lame in the right hindleg and was withdrawn on veterinary ground at 2:39pm, delaying the start. Trainer A Ngai was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it performs satisfactorily in a barrier trial and a veterinary certificate is produced.

VETERINARY:
4 So True So Fake (L Salles) –A post race veterinary examination of 4 So True So Fake which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Mission Fame (C F Chan) –A post race veterinary examination of 6 Mission Fame which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer Pat Lee was informed to present the horse to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Monday, 9th February 2015.
8 Accelera (R Curatolo)–A post race veterinary examination of 8 Accelera which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
