RACE-5 THE HALIFAX RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1350 METRES (231)

6 Giant Steps (B Yamzon) –Was marginally slow to begin.
7 Good Racing (C Perkins) –Near the 600 metres steadied to avoid heels; Raced ungenerously in the early stages for a short distance; Poor performance; Rider reported that his mount resented the kickback and made an unusual respiratory noise and for this reason he eased it down from the 200 metres; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
8 River Good Boy (J Horcajada) –Was marginally slow to begin; Hung out throughout the event. Trainer S H Cheong was informed that the warning had been placed against the racing manners 8 River Good Boy and should it perform in a similar manner in future further action may be taken; Trainer S H Cheong was also informed that he would be required to present 8 River Good Boy the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 21 March 2015.
11 St Accord (W T Pao) –At the turn near the 1200 metres had to be steadied when placed in restricted room.
12 Rush'N Prince (K W Leong) –Marginally slow to begin.

VETERINARY:
7 Good Racing (C Perkins) –A post race veterinary examination of 7 Good Racing which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer C Marshall was informed that he would be required to present the horse to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 21 March 2015.
