Race Report

RACE-5 THE BALIDAR RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1500 METRES (261)

3 Red Dragon (A Calder) - Lost considerable ground (10L) at the start and took no competitive part in the race,; Trainer J M Moore was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
5 Will Go On (C F Chan) –Was very slow to begin (4L); Trainer K Seo was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial.

INQUIRY:
Prior to Correct Weight being declared, Jockey R Curatolo the rider of 2 My Dream viewed the video films of the straight before deciding not to lodge an objection. The Stewards were also of the view that he did not have grounds to lodge an objection.
Also, prior to Correct Weight being declared, Jockey A Calder the rider of 3 Red Dragon and the Stewards viewed the head on films of the start of the race to ascertain whether 3 Red Dragon had been afforded a fair start. It was established that after the gates were released 3 Red Dragon reared and as a result lost considerable ground. 3 Red Dragon was deemed a runner and Correct Weight was declared.

VETERINARY:
7 Crowning Mission (W L Ho) –A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse was lame in the left foreleg. Trainer K S Cheong was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary clearance is produced.
