Race Report

RACE-3 THE MAJOR PORTION RATING 40-20 (CLASS 5) 1350 METRES (386)
This race was rescheduled to start at 9:20pm.

1 Fly With The Wind (K H Yu) –Was slow to muster speed.
2 Modena Creation (C Perkins) –Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Raced four wide without cover.
4 Gerson (W L Ho) –When questioned about the disappointing run, the rider reported that the gelding would be better suited over a shorter distance; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
5 My Dream Come True (B Yamzon) –At the turn near the 1200 metres had to be steadied when tightened for room between 1 Fly With The Wind which shifted out slightly and 7 Truly Heart which shifted in away from 6 Golden Tictac which shifted in abruptly. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance rider reported the horse disliked the kickback; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
6 Golden Tictac (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Raced three wide without cover throughout the event.
8 Golden Lion (C F Chan) -Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 1200 metres had to be steadied off the heels of 6 Golden Tictac. Passing the 500 metres had to be steadied after racing up onto the heels of 5 My Dream Come True. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

VETERINARY:
4 Gerson (W L Ho) – A post race veterinary examination of 4 Gerson which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
5 My Dream Come True (B Yamzon) – A post race veterinary examination of 5 My Dream Come True which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
