RACE-2 THE MACAU RACE HORSE OWNERS ASSOCIATION PLATE RATING 50-30 (CLASS 4&5) 1400 METRES (439)

1 Luen Yat Sure Win (C F Chan) –Failed to make contact with the field despite the strong urging of its rider through the early and middle stages.
2 Rush'N Prince (Apprentice K Y Wong) –Hung out rounding the home turn.
3 Qiao Tou Win (D Chong) –Disappointing; Rider reported his mount was not striding out and that he had some concerns with its action. He added in his opinion it may not be suited by the wet track today; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
5 Show Smart (W Smith) –Jumped away awkwardly; Laid in in the straight proving difficult to ride out.
6 Winner Treasure (L Salles) –Was inspected in the saddling enclosure and passed fit to race and was then further inspection on arrival at the barriers after rearing over; The Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 16:35 acting on veterinary advice that 6 Winner Treasure which had thrown itself on the ground several times behind the barriers had sustained lacerations; Trainer W T Lai was informed that it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until can be ridden to the barriers and performs satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
7 Let It Be (C F Wong) –Raced wide without cover; Rider explained that his mount dipped in the going in the early stages and failed to respond when put under pressure; He added it was not suited by today’s track conditions.
8 Tron General (J Cordero) –Jumped very awkwardly.
9 Florence Baby (M Cangas) –Raced keenly through the early stages; Dipped on a number of occasions in the straight
11 Golden Commandment (K W Leong) –Raced very wide without cover and finished tailed off; Rider reported that it was having its first start today, it had raced greenly and did not appear to be comfortable in the going; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.

VETERINARY:
3 Qiao Tou Win (D Chong) –A post race veterinary examination of 3 Qiao Tou Win which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
11 Golden Commandment (K W Leong) –A post race veterinary examination of 11 Golden Commandment failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
