RACE-5 THE LEVIN RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1500 METRES (41)

4 Happy Prodigal Son (H Lam) –Raced very keenly in the early and middle stages.
7 Happy And Healthy (B Yamzon) –Was marginally slow to begin.
8 Charity Group (J Cordero) –Jumped away awkwardly, threw its head and in the early stages, failed to muster speed despite the urgings of its rider. Poor performance beaten in excess of 28 lengths. Rider reported his mount failed to respond to his riding. A post race veterinary examination ordered by the Stewards failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer M C Tam was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it had performed competitively in an official barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
9 Basement (R Stewart) –Was marginally slow to begin. Disappointing. Rider reported his mound did not appreciate tonight’s going. A post race veterinary examination ordered by the Stewards failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
11 Winner Best (L Corrales) – Was slow to begin and raced ungenerously in the early stages. Hung out rounding the first turn. Disappointing. Rider reported his mount hung out rounding turn, losing its balance and was difficult to handle. A post race veterinary examination ordered by the Stewards failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K S Wong was informed that a warning had been placed on the horse for its racing manners and should it perform in a similar manner in future further action may be taken. Trainer K S Wong was requested to present the gelding to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 24th October 2015.
