RACE-3 THE CREWE RATING 85-55 (CLASS 2) 1700 METRES (123)

As Jockey W H Lao was unable to make the weight on 10 Total Management, the Stewards gave permission for Jockey W T Pao to be substituted. Jockey W H Lao was issued with a fine of HK$2,000 under MJC Rule 122 (iii) for having accepted a rider for which he found to be overweight.

2 Pacers Bahhare (K K Lai) – Performed below market expectations. Rider reported that his mount raced more forward than usual and failed to finish off the event.
3 King Creole (A Calder) –Was marginally slow to begin.
6 Luen Yat Forever (W L Ho) - Near the wining post on the first occasion had to be steadied to avoid the heels of 8 Yang Jiang Star which shifted out slightly. Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages..
11 Elderly Paradise (L Corrales) – Rider reported that he could offer no real explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. Trainer M C Tam was notified that as the gelding was beaten in excess of 44 lengths, it will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until its has performed in a barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.
