Race Report

RACE-5 THE SALFORD RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1050 METRES (390)

2 Power Sequalo (K H Yu) –Rider was questioned regarding his riding of 2 Power Sequalo between the 500 and the 400 metres. He stated that the gelding did not feel right in its action at that point of the race and the elected to sit more quietly on the gelding and allow it to become balanced before placing it under pressure near the 400 metres. He added that it was a beaten horse at the 200 metres. Rider K H Yu was fined HK$1000 for accidentally dropping his whip approaching the 1000 metres.
4 My Cup Of Tea (B Yamzon) –Was slow into stride.
6 Californiatreasure (M Cangas) –Laid in in the straight.
8 Invincible (H Lam) –On jumping away was bumped and taken outwards by 2 Power Sequalo.
9 Mission Winkle (K K Lai) –Jumped away awkwardly unbalancing its rider. Raced wide without cover and was eased down at the entrance into the straight and was found to be severely lame in the left foreleg. Trainer Pat Lee was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race until such time that a veterinary clearance is produce and it passes an official Barrier Trial.
11 River Best Diamond (K W Leong) - Raced greenly in the straight under pressure.
