RACE-6 THE CISTUS RATING 70-50 (CLASS 2&3) 1500 METRES (12)

3 Bright Alloy (H Lam) –Poor performance. Rider was at a loss to explain the disappointing performance tonight and added his mount was a beaten horse from the 700 metres. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K C Chong was informed to present 3 Bright Alloy to the Veterinary Hospital for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 1 October 2016. In addition, 3 Bright Alloy will not be permitted to race of 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in an official Barrier Trial.
5 River Treasure (L Corrales) –Was reluctant to proceed to the barriers. Trainer S H Cheong was informed that a warning had been placed against the gelding. Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped 11 Gauteng. Rounding the home turn was held up when unable to improve until leaving the 300 metres. When questioned regarding his riding in particular as to whether there was an opportunity to take a run to the inside of 7 Speed Of King near the 400 metres, Jockey L Corrales stated that he had considered taking the run to the inside of 7 Speed Of King at that point, however he was aware that the rider of 7 Speed Of King was using the whip in his left hand and anticipated 7 Speed Of King shifting in which would have restricted the run. He further added his mount races better when able to race out of the kick back, so he elected to shift to the outside of 7 Speed Of King to obtain clear running. He added that as 7 Speed Of King had maintained a straight course, he was then held up for a short distance before obtaining a clear run leaving the 300 metres. In considering all the circumstances, the Stewards noted his explanations, however advised him nonetheless that he should ride all his mounts in such a manner that leaves no room for query.
6 Master Kabiddi (K K Lai) –Raced wide rounding the home turn.
9 Double Heaven (M Cangas)-Jumped awkwardly.
10 Jade Elite (A Calder) –Raced wide until approaching the 1000 metres. Was inclined to over race for a short distance near the 800 metres.
