Race Report

RACE-4 THE DIAMOND RATING 70-50 (CLASS 2&3) 1500 METRES (52)

1 Northern Legend (W L Ho) –Raced wide without cover throughout. Shifted in under pressure in the home straight.
2 Jungle Prince (A Aucharuz) –Poor performance. Rider reported that his mount travelled well until the 600 metres, thereafter compounded badly and was very disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer K C Chong was informed to present the gelding to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 5th November 2016 and in addition it will not be permitted to race again until it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
4 Chinese Dream (W Smith) –Jumped away awkwardly. Poor performance. Rider reported that his mount travelled well until the 800 metres, however was immediately under pressure and upon entering the home straight his mount was a beaten horse. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer P Leyshan was informed to present the gelding to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 5th November 2016 and in addition it will not be permitted to race again until it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial.
7 My Favourites (C F Chan) – Jumped away awkwardly. Raced fiercely in the early stages. Near the 1300 metres when improving to the inside of 8 Off The Bench, hung out forcing 8 Off The Bench wider on the track. Poor performance. Rider was unable to offer any tangible explanation for the performance tonight other than the gelding was inclined to hang out. Trainer K S Ho was informed that the gelding will not be permitted to race again until it has performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official Barrier Trial. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Off The Bench (K H Yu) –Near the 1300 metres forced wider on the track. Near the 500 metres laid in of its own accord, clipped the heels of 6 Chok King, blundered and became severely unbalanced almost dislodging its rider. 3 So Sweet which was following was checked in consequence. Was inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
