	Introduction :	Y M Choi commenced as an apprentice jockey with the Macau Jockey Club. He had his first race ride in 2011 and rode his first winner in April 2012. He represented Macau at the Qatar International Apprentice Invitation Race in February 2013 and in South Korea in 2014 where he rode with success. Choi was crowned champion apprentice during the 2014/15 racing season with 24 winners. He completed his apprenticeship in February 2016. He can ride at 114 lbs.
