RACING INCIDENT & INQUIRY:
Prior to correct weight, Y C Fung, Trainer of 6 Bravo Qiji the second placegetter, viewed the patrol film and lodged an objection against 2 Harapan being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference over the final 300 metres. On the evidence, it was established that in the final 300 metres, 6 Bravo Qiji was brushed by 2 Harapan which shifted in. Stewards were not of the view that the incident affected the result of the race as 6 Bravo Qiji had regained balance and headed 2 Harapan before the winning post. Therefore correct weight was declared on the judges’ placings.
