Race Report

RACE-1 THE PATNA (DIV.2) RATING 50-30 (CLASS 4&5) 1400 METRES (41)
After being boxed SHENG LI WIN (M NUNES) became fractious, kicked out and sustained an injury to its right hock. Acting on veterinary advice the horse was withdrawn at 2:01pm. Trainer Y C Fung was informed that SHENG LI WIN will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has passed a barrier trial and a veterinary certificate is produced.
Approaching the 1200 metres TWININGOCEANSTARBO (M CANGAS) got its head up and raced awkwardly for a short distance.
Rounding the first turn FLORENCE SPIRIT (L CORRALES) was momentarily crowded and became unbalanced between GOLDEN NUMBER ONE (K H YU) and DELIGHT CONSUL (K K LAI) which hung in despite the efforts of its rider.
CHANAK (H LAM) raced wide for the majority of the race.
Trainer K S Ho was instructed to present CHANAK (H LAM) which tired in the home straight to the veterinary clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 30 September 2012.
A post race veterinary examination of IDEA OF THE GOOD (W L HO) failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
