Race Report

RACE-4 THE BOCHUM (DIV.2) RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1500 METRES (332)

7 Blitzing Eyesight (W T Pao) -In the early and middle stages was inclined to race keenly.
8 Fortune Smiles (W Smith) -Approaching 400 metres was obliged to ease.
9 Wonderful Express (R B Woodworth) -Eased from the 300 metres.

INQUIRY: The Stewards sought an explanation from Lei Kin Meng the rider of 2 Hand By Hand a last start winner into its performance. Jockey Lei Kin Meng explained that in a much stronger field and in the higher class 2 Hand By Hand had struggled to maintain its position early in the race and when placed under pressure in the vicinity of the 800 metres his mount had not given him any response.

The Stewards sought an explanation from Jockey K Abobo the rider of 3 Rush'N Prince a last start winner into its performance. Jockey K Abobo explained that he rode his mount in a similar manner to its previous start but in the stronger race the gelding had not travelled into the race as it had in its previous start.

VETERINARY:
7 Blitzing Eyesight (W T Pao) -A post race veterinary examination of failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer was informed that he would be required to present 7 Blitzing Eyesight to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Monday, 20th May 2013.
9 Wonderful Express (R B Woodworth) - A post race veterinary examination of failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
