RACE-3 THE BOMBALA RATING 50-20 (CLASS 4&5) 1950 METRES (437)

At 9:00pm Mr. P Leyshan the trainer of 9 New Chesney advised Stewards that as he was concerned with the apparent pace of the race he had provided Jockey L Corrales with no specific instructions other than if 9 New Chesney showed pace from the gate that he may take the opportunity to settle in a forward position. He added that in 9 New Chesney’s recent start he asked that 9 New Chesney settled in a forward position but the horse did not show sufficient pace on that occasion.

2 Elderly Win (M Cangas) –Jumped awkwardly.
5 Sunshine Perfect (K Abobo) –In the early stages was inclined to race fiercely.
6 Count Versuvius (W Smith) –Jumped awkwardly.
7 Fields Avenue (A Calder) –Inclined to lay out making the turn out of the straight.
8 Power More (R Silvera) –Near the 1200 metres was inconvenienced as its hindquarters were turned out.
9 New Chesney (L Corrales) – Rider reported that his mount was inclined to lay out for the majority of the race; Making the turn into the straight was inclined to lay out.

VETERINARY:
1 Sunshine Wealthy (Apprentice Y M Choi) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
6 Count Versuvius (W Smith) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Power More (R Silvera) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
