Race Report

RACE-6 THE BINGARA RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1200 METRES (440)

1 Easy Money (R Silvera) –Making the turn inside the 700 metres laid out.
3 Chinese Scholar (W L Ho) –Near the 300 metres became awkward for several strides when galloped on.
4 Sherwood (A Calder) –Was slow to jump; Inside the 700 metres when steadied off heels became unbalanced for several strides.
7 Betorregret (W Smith) –From the 700 metres was eased out of the race.
8 Fierce Wind Horse (B Yamzon) –Shortly after the start was severely hampered when tightened for room; Upon entering the straight became held up for a short distance.
10 Sunshine Full Life (F Durso) –Inside the 700 metres was inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on heels.
11 Yue Sing (L Corrales) –Reared as the gates opened and then made contact; Making the turn inside the 700 metres was inconvenienced when contacted by 1 Easy Money which lay out; Near the 300 metres was inconvenienced when brushed.
14 Sunshine Spirit (L Jurado) –Shortly after the start shifted out and made contact becoming unbalanced for several strides.

INQUIRY:
The Stewards inquired into the circumstances in which 3 Chinese Scholar (W L Ho) was galloped on in the vicinity of the 300 metres. The Stewards established that at the entrance to the straight 8 Fierce Wind Horse (B Yamzon) became in need of a run and when attempting to improve outside the heels of 3 Chinese Scholar and inside 11 Yue Sing (L Corrales) became held up and improved onto the heels of 3 Chinese Scholar. Jockey B Yamzon was reprimanded and he was advised to ensure that in future when attempting runs there was sufficient room available to him.

VETERINARY:
3 Chinese Scholar (W L Ho) – A post race veterinary failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
7 Betorregret (W Smith) –A post race veterinary failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
8 Fierce Wind Horse (B Yamzon) – A post race veterinary failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
