RACE-5 THE EL GRAN SENOR (DIV.2) RATING 80-60 (CLASS 2&3) 1200 METRES (158)

1 Spaceage Eagle (J Matthews) –Jumped awkwardly.
2 Felsham (H Lam) –Inside the 800 metres brushed the inside rail.
9 Golden Kalbar (S G Cho) –After being boxed became fractious and sustained lacerations to its right eye and nose. Acting on veterinary advice, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 4:10pm. Trainer K Seo was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed in satisfactorily in a barrier trial and a veterinary certificate is produced.

INQUIRY:
The Stewards questioned Jockey K M Lei the rider of 7 Florence Elite into his riding of that horse from the vicinity of the 600 metres to the finish, in particular as to the extent of his purpose and the level of vigor applied after entering the straight. After taking some evidence, the Stewards adjourned this inquiry to a date to be fixed to allow them to review 7 Florence Elite most recent starts.

8 Yue Sing (K K Lai) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
