Race Report

RACE-7 THE BORDEAUX RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1500 METRES (266)

6 Luen Yat Eduado (K Abobo) –Shortly after the start was hampered when tightened for room;Raced wide throughout the event.
7 Mission Fame (L Corrales) –Was slow into stride and reluctant to race.
9 Diamond Whirlwind (H Lami) –Raced wide throughout the event.

INQUIRY:
Jockey L Corrales the rider of 7 Mission Fame explained that his mount had been reluctant into stride and despite using the whip in the early stages, it had refused to race, taking no part in the event.

Jockey B Yamzon the rider of 10 Let It Be explained that he had been instructed to settle on pace. He said his mount jumped well and the stable had approved him racing three horses wide if necessary, however if his mount had not jumped well he had been instructed to attempt to obtain cover. He added that runners to his immediate inside had jumped better than him and shortly after the start he had formed the view that he would be trapped wide and had therefore taken 10 Let It Be back in order to obtain cover.

Jockey H Lam the rider of 9 Diamond Whirlwind explained his mount had travelled well in the going until the vicinity of the 700 metres but had dipped on a number of occasions and had dropped the bit, not responding to his riding thereafter. Jockey H Lam added that in his opinion 9 Diamond Whirlwind had not handled the track conditions.

VETERINARY:
6 Luen Yat Eduado (K Abobo) -A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
