RACE-4 THE COASTAL BLUFF RATING 60-30 (CLASS 3&4) 1950 METRES (283)
At 3:34pm Mr. W T Lai the trainer of 3 Rush'N Prince (C F Chan) advised Stewards that having regards to the speed drawn to the inside 3 Rush'N Prince and his concern to be caught wide from the barrier, he would instruct Jockey C F Chan to race mid field with cover.

1 General's Steed (K H Yu) –Passing the winning post on the first occasion was inclined to get its head and was ungenerous.
3 Rush'N Prince (C F Chan) –In the early stages was inclined to race keenly.
4 Sunshine Gladiator (R Silvera) –Jumped the crossing at the entrance to the 1300 metres.
6 Turquoise Dane (M Cangas) –Was slow to jump.
7 Hit The Bull (K K Lai) –Jumped awkwardly.

INQUIRY:
Jockey K A Bobo the rider of 9 Laughing World explained that he had been instructed to push forward and was given the option to lead if circumstances permitted. Mr. K C Hoi the trainer of 9 Laughing World confirmed the instructions and stated that he considered 9 Laughing World best option was to make use of the horse’s light weight. He added that 9 Laughing World was only having its 3rd run for his stable and in future his instructions would be similar to those provided today.

Jockey R Silvera the rider of 4 Sunshine Gladiator explained he had obtained a good position on settling and his mount had travelled well on a moderate pace. He stated that his mount had been three wide making the turn off the back straight and had been pushed wider in the vicinity of the 400 metres after which he had the opinion his mount had not been genuine and under pressure hadn’t quickened.
