Race Report

RACE-1 THE CITRINE (SAND) RATING 40-20 (CLASS 5) 1050 METRES (73)

This race rescheduled to start at 2:10pm.

2 Wicked Cool (Suraj Narredu) – Jumped away awkwardly. Was steadied and bumped near the 600 metres when placed in restricted room between 1 River Fortune (Apprentice Y M Choi) and 6 Hostwin Helios (L Corrales) which both shifted ground.
4 Bobo So Cute (Apprentice K Y Wong) – Hung out rounding the home turn.
5 Golden Cornered (W Egan) – Slow to begin. Near 200 metres had to be steadied and changed course when 7 Wealthy Boy (B. Yamzon) shifted in.

INQUIRY:
Apprentice K Y Wong was fined the sum of HK$1,000 under the provisions of MJC Rule 64(ii) for failing to claim to his full allowance.
C F Chan the rider of 8 Golden Tictac explained the gelding which normally races in a forward position was slow to begin, dropping back in distance and resented the kick back from the sand today. As a result the gelding settled at the rear of the field. A veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality. C F Chan was reminded of his obligation in regards to his whip action in the early part of the straight.
