Race Report

RACE-3 THE GOSFORD RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1500 METRES (155)

2 Energy Gladiator (C F Wong) –Approaching the 400 metres was steadied when held up for some distance.
3 Haayil Shadow (C Perkins) –Was slow to begin and near the 1200 metres had to be eased off heels when the pace steadied.
4 Pacers Bahhare (A Calder) –When the pace steadied near the 1200 metres got its head up when being restrained.
8 Happy Orchard (W T Pao) –Raced very keenly in the early and middle stages.
9 Total Management (W L Ho) –Performed below expectations;Rider when questioned explained the gelding was first up after a spell, would prefer more give in the ground and is also one paced and did not finish off the event as he would have expected. A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.

RACING INCIDENTS & INQUIRY:
When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of 10 Let It Be (M Cangas), Trainer G Allendorf advised that at its previous start the gelding had a torrid run throughout the event which was detrimental to its chances and added that it was well ridden today.

VETERINARY:
9 Total Management (W L Ho) –A post race veterinary examination of 9 Total Management which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
