Race Report

RACE-6 THE MUSSELBURGH RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1050 METRES (226)
This race was rescheduled to start at 10:40pm.

2 Happy Orchard (L Corrales) –Performed below market expectations; Rider could offer no real excuses; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
6 The Love Guru (C F Wong) –At the winning post had to be steadied to avoid the heels of 1 Golden Vitality which was taken out by 8 Diamond Rocket ; W L Ho the rider of 8 Diamond Rocket was advised he must exercise more care in future.
9 Let's Toast (J Horcajada) –On arrival at the barriers was inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to run.
12 Golden Lion (C F Chan) –Threw its head in the air on jumping and bounded for a number of strides and did not stretch out during the early stages; Poor performance; Rider explained after being slow to begin his mount raced greenly throughout the event and failed to make contact with the field despite his urgings. Trainer K C Hoi was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial.

VETERINARY:
2 Happy Orchard (L Corrales) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 Let's Toast (J Horcajada) – A post race veterinary examination revealed that the horse was severely lame in the right foreleg; Trainer K S Ho was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until it has performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial and a veterinary clearance is produced.
12 Golden Lion (C F Chan) –A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
