Race Report

RACE-2 THE DANCING BRAVE RATING 40-20 (CLASS 5) 1050 METRES (246)

1 Beautiful Illusion (L Corrales) –Over raced in the early and middle stages; Near the 600 metres became unbalanced when racing tight inside 6 Lithium Alloy.
4 My Eternal Flame (K H Yu) –Was slow to begin (2L);
6 Lithium Alloy (H Lam) –Rider reported his mount laid out throughout the event and proved difficult to ride out.
7 Golden Cornered (C F Chan) –At the request of the rider was examined behind the barriers and passed fit to start; Was slow to begin (1L);
9 Truly Heart (Apprentice Y M Choi) –Disappointing; Rider reported that the gelding was not suited to the fast tempo of this event and would be better suited over further ground; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
12 Wonder Dylan (C F Wong) –Raced Fiercely in the early stages and had a tendency to lay in when struck with the whip.

INQUIRY:
Correct Weight was delayed as Jockey W L Ho the rider of 2 One From Many wished to view the films of the start. After viewing the films it was established that 2 One From Many had been restless and as a consequence was slow to begin. The Stewards and the rider were satisfied that the horse had been afforded a fair start and Correct Weight was declared.

VETERINARY:
9 Truly Heart (Apprentice Y M Choi) –A post race veterinary examination of 9 Truly Heart which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
