4 Luen Yat Cheers (W L Ho) –After passing the 800 metres had to be steadied off the heels of
6 Brave Flying Ha.
6 Brave Flying Hawk (A Calder) –Was marginally slow to begin;
7 Sharon Star (C F Wong) –Jumped away awkwardly and then had to be checked when tightened for room between 4 Luen Yat Cheers and 9 Gem Soldier which shifted out.
8 Sir Caspur (C Perkins) –Disappointing; Rider explained his mount travelled well, how failed to respond to his riding in the straight as he would have expected when put under pressure; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.

VETERINARY:
8 Sir Caspur (C Perkins) –A post race of 8 Sir Caspur which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
