Race Report

RACE-1 THE HARROW RATING 40-20 (CLASS 5) 1050 METRES (330)
This race was rescheduled to start at 8:10pm with all remaining races being put back 5 mins.

2 Wine Buddies (C F Wong) –Raced three wide without cover.
4 Liver Pool (W L Ho) –Jumped away awkwardly; Raced four wide without cover
5 Bobo Kawaii (A Calder) –Raced keenly during the early stages and laid out for the majority of the event; Rider could offer no excuses for the poor performance; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
6 Fly With The Wind (L Corrales) –Was marginally slow to begin.
7 Lucky And Healthy (R Stewart) –Was very difficult to load delaying the start; Trainer G Allendorf was informed that a warning had been placed against the gelding and should it perform in a similar manner in future action may be taken against it; Was marginally slow to begin.
9 Power Savabeel (L Salles) –Was caught wide in the early stages before obtaining a position with cover closer to the rail after passing the 800 metres.
10 Rivers Elite (K W Leong) –Was slow to begin; Rider reported that the gelding made an unusual respiratory noise; Trainer S H Cheong was informed that he would be required to present the horse for a full veterinary examination on Saturday, 13th June 2015.

INQUIRY:
Jockey D Chong the rider of 8 Oriental Harvest was questioned as to the reason why he went forward on the gelding which normally settles at the rear of the field. He explained that he had not been given any firm instructions other than to allow the gelding to race where it was comfortable. He added it began well and traveled comfortably outside the leader.

VETERINARY:
5 Bobo Kawaii (A Calder) –A post race veterinary examination of 5 Bobo Kawaii which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
