Race Report

RACE-2 THE LYON RATING 40-20 (CLASS 5) 1350 METRES (337)

1 Tiger Exceed (R Curatolo) - Was slow to begin; For a short distance rounding the home turn was held up when unable to improve its position.
2 Golden Tictac (Apprentice Y M Choi) – Jumped away awkwardly.
3 One From Many (W Smith) –The rider could not offer any excuses for the disappointing performance; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
4 Truly Heart (C F Wong) - Raced wide without cover.
8 Golden Lucky Star (C Perkins) - Over raced during the early and middle stages; Passing the 1000 metres had to be steadied when tightened for room between 9 River Good Choice (K W Leong) and 5 Galaxy Dragon (L Corrales), both of which shifted ground slightly.
9 River Good Choice (K W Leong) - On jumping away made contact with 7 St Pedder (R Stewart); Beaten in excess of 37 lengths; Rider stated that the gelding resented the sand kickback. A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards and Trainer S H Cheong was informed that 9 River Good Choice will not be permitted to race until it has performed competitively in a barrier trial.

VETERINARY:
3 One From Many (W Smith) - A post race veterinary examination of 3 One From Many which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
9 River Good Choice (K W Leong) - A post race veterinary examination of 9 River Good Choice (K W Leong) which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
