RACE-1 THE SHUNDE RATING SPECIAL (SPECIAL) 1200 METRES (426)

1 Cali Fortune (Apprentice K Y Wong) – Poor performance; Rider reported that his mount hung out rounding the turn and in the straight; Rider K Y Wong was advised that he must make a far great effort to keep his mounts closer to the rails when in similar circumstances in future. A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
2 Mighty Alloy (Apprentice Y M Choi) – Raced wide without cover; Rider explained that the gelding which was having its first start on turf may be better suited on the sand track and would improve in fitness with today’s run; Trainer K M Chin was informed that he would be required to present the horse to the Veterinary Clinic for a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 23 August 2015.
3 Happy Alloy (H Lam) –Approaching the 100 metres shifted out when struck whip and brushed 5 Mission Gdragon.
5 Mission Gdragon (C F Wong) –Dipped in the going and raced ungenerously for some distance approaching and passing the 800 metres.
7 Baohu Star (R Stewart) –Difficult to load; Trainer J M Moore was informed that a warning had been placed on 7 Baohu Star and should it perform in a similar manner in future further action may be taken; On jumping away struck the inside gate.

VETERINARY:
1 Cali Fortune (Apprentice K Y Wong) – A post race veterinary examination of 1 Cali Fortune which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality other than the horse had cast its right hind plate.
