Race Report

RACE-3 THE CALICUT (DIV.2) RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1200 METRES (50)
Tony Itoldyouso (M Cangas) jumped away awkwardly.
Companion (W L Ho) hung out during the early stages of the race.
Tony Itoldyouso (M Cangas), Companion (W L Ho) and My Eternal Flame (K L Lei) raced wide for the majority of the race.
When questioned regarding the tactics adopted on Master Kabiddi, Jockey K M Chin stated that he received similar instructions from the Trainer as given at its previous start to have the horse traveling where it was comfortable in a mid back position. He added the gelding jumped well today however he elected not to ride forward during the early stages in accordance with those instructions as at the gelding’s first race start it obtained a forward position and failed to finish the race off. He further added that the horse traveled well today however when placed under pressure failed to finish the race off as expected and in his opinion proved disappointing. Jockey Chin further added that the horse may be suited over a longer distance.
A post race veterinary examination of It's A Round World (T Pereira) failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
After the race, it was reported that Wear A Smile (L Jurado) has cast its right fore plate.
