Race Report

RACE-6 THE CALICUT RATING 70-50 (CLASS 3) 1200 METRES (53)
Theology (W L Ho) jumped awkwardly shifted out and bumped Labore (K K Lai).
Flymaster (T Pereira) jumped awkwardly and shifted out.
Lobor Treasure (M Cangas) jumped awkwardly.
Near the 600 metres Wonder Alloy (M Nunes) and Care Free Express (K L Lei) bumped.
Scandicmaster (Apprentice Y M Choi) raced wide for the majority of the race.
K L Lei the rider of Care Free Express pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MJC Rule 132 (i) in that near the 1100 metres he failed to take sufficient measures to stop Care Free Express from shifting in and as a result Scandicmaster (Apprentice Y M Choi) was tightened for room and had to be checked. Jockey K L Lei was fined the sum of HK$20,000 in lieu of 4 race day suspensions. He was advised of his Right of Appeal at 6:45pm.
A post race veterinary examination of Care Free Express (K L Lei) failed to reveal any significant abnormality. Trainer M C Tam was instructed to present Care Free Express to the veterinary clinic on Monday, 8 October 2012 for a thorough veterinary examination.
A post race veterinary examination of Wonder Alloy (M Nunes) revealed the gelding to be lame in the right foreleg. Trainer K C Chong was advised that Wonder Alloy will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary certificate is produced.
