Race Report

RACE-5 THE GREAT PROFITS (SAND) RATING 55-0 (CLASS 4,5&6) 1050 METRES (311)
3 Hanigan (R Silvera)-In the straight inclined to shifted out under pressure.
6 Sharon Star (K Abobo)-Near the 200 metres rolled out for several strides prior to be corrected.
7 Treasure Pearl (R Curatolo)-Knuckled severely on jumping almost dislodging its rider. Attempted to buck for a considerable distance thereafter. The Stewards ordered that 7 Treasure Pearl undergo a thorough veterinary examination on Saturday, 3rd May 2014.

INQUIRY:
The Stewards sought an explained from Mr K H Leong the Trainer of 6 Sharon Star (K Abobo)
in regards to the apparent improved performance in this race. Mr Leong stated that 6 Sharon Star had been in his stable for 2 weeks during which the horse have been given light work in order to freshen it. He said that he was still learning about 6 Sharon Star but felt its condition had improved and although he had expected 6 Sharon Star to run well, he felt it was only a place chance.

VETERINARY:
1 Golden Vitality (K H Yu)- A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse was lame right foreleg.
2 Powerful Spur (A Calder)-A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
