RACE-5 THE SALEM RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1100 METRES (427)
1 Sunshine Region (Apprentice Y M Choi)-Near the 500 metres was severely hampered by one of the fallen runners and took no part in the race from that point.
2 Charming Beijing (R Curatolo)-Near the 500 was brought down by another runner dislodging Jockey R Curatolo.
3 Golden Partners (K H Yu)-Knuckled on jumping. Near the 500 metres was unable to avoid fallen runner and fell dislodging Jockey K H Yu.
4 Strong Alloy (H Lam)-Near the 900 metres was obliged to ease. Near the 500 metres was inconvenenceid when contacted by a fallen runner.
5 Toy'S Power (W L Ho)-Near the 500 meters faulted and fell dislodging Jockey W L Ho.
6 China Cheers (R Silvera)- Near the 500 metres was hampered when attempting to avoid a fallen runner.
7 Sunshine Godsend (M Cangas)-Near the 500 metres was inconvenienced when attempting to avoid a fallen runner.
8 Golden Kalbar (B Yamzon)-Near the 500 metres was inconvenienced when attempting to avoid a fallen runner.
9 God Of Diamond (L Corrales)-Was slow to jump.
10 Ratnaraj (C F Chan)-Was slow t jump.
11 Power Ballad (Apprentice C F Wong)-Near the 500 metres was hampered when attempting to avoid a fallen runner.
12 Sherwood (W T Pao)-Near the 500 metres was hampered when negotiating with the fallen runner.

INQUIRY:
An inquiry into an incident near the 500 metres in which 5 Toy'S Power (W L Ho), 3 Golden Partners (K H Yu) and 2 Charming Beijing (R Curatolo) fell was adjourned to a date to be fixed to permit those riders to be present.

VETERINARY:
2 Charming Beijing (R Curatolo)-A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse had a minor wound to its right knee and blood in both nostrils consistent with external trauma. Trainer A Ngai and Y C Chan were advised that the horse must undergo a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 27th July 2014.
3 Golden Partners (K H Yu)- A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse had fractured its left shoulder and was subsequently euthanized.
5 Toy'S Power (W L Ho)- Trainer S Chow was advised that the horse must undergo a thorough veterinary examination on Sunday, 27th July 2014.
