Race Report

RACE-3 THE KEMPSEY RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1500 METRES (149)

1 Ag Kingdom (L Corrales) – Was slow to begin.
2 Sunshine God (C Perkins) –Rider explained that his mount travelled well throughout the race, however failed to respond to his riding when put under pressure in the straight; Underwent a post race veterinary examination ordered by the Stewards.
4 Explosive Blast (W L Ho) – Was slow to begin; Raced wide without cover. Rider explained that the gelding did not stay the 1500 metres of today’s event; Underwent a post race veterinary examination ordered by the Stewards.
5 Windsor Arch (C F Wong) –Rider was spoken to and advised with regards to his whip actions on the gelding.
6 Turquoise Lucky (R Curatolo) – Was slow to begin.
7 Happy Proposal (L Salles) –Over raced badly during the early stages; Raced wide without cover before obtaining a position outside the leader after passing the 900 metres.
8 Jylland (B Yamzon) – Over raced in the early and middle stages.
9 Magic Paul (C F Chan) – Withdrawn at 3:12pm acting on veterinary advice that it was lame in the right fore. Trainer C F Chan was informed that the horse will not be permitted to race for 11 days and until a veterinary certificate is produced.

VETERINARY:
2 Sunshine Godsend (C Perkins) – A post race veterinary examination of 2 Sunshine Godsend which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Explosive Blast (W L Ho) – A post race veterinary examination of 4 Explosive Blast which was disappointing failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
